UPDATE

I know it's been a long time since I have been on here. I've been so busy with work and life. Time has just flown by. So I will just give an update of whats going on in our busy life. Where to start? Well, lets start with Deegen. He turned 5 in September. I can't believe that he's 5, he is so grown up and is full of life. All he wants to do is play and take care of Cassidy. He loves sports and during the summer he played soccer through AF Rec Center. He loved it and he actually did really good for his age. Every game he would at least make one goal. We were so proud of him. But I still think that baseball is his favorite sport. For his birthday, we got him all baseball stuff. A new metal bat, baseballs and a glove. Him and Trevor go to the park all the time to hit a few balls. I think they both love it. Deegen also got a skateboard for his birthday. Which he has always wanted. Torie and Mike got it for them. Deegen is learning how to ride it and Trevor is trying to teach him, well, that's what Trevor says when I see him riding on it. Trevor is a kid still at heart.

Cassidy TURNED 1!!! I can't believe she is one now. Where has the time gone? I took her in for her yearly check up and she weighs 19 lbs and is 29 inches long. She is growing up so fast. I remember when she was born. She was 6 lbs 3 Oz and 18 inches long. She was so small and sweet and now she is our little she devil. Cassidy came 10 days early. We weren't ready for her to come. Trevor woke up that Friday morning around 5am for work and I was just laying there in bed and he asked me how I was feeling. I told him that I was hurting from the contractions and that I think that I might be in labor. I wasn't quite sure but we went to the hospital anyways and they told me that I would be having her today. We weren't ready for this. We didn't even have her name picked out. But around 10:30am I was holding a beautiful baby girl and from that moment on I knew that life would be full of excitement. Cassidy has grown up so fast and has figured out to walk the past week and that is all she wants to do now. That and get into trouble with Deegen. She has been so fun and she is daddy's little girl. She knows that she can get away with anything around Trevor. It's cute!!!

So here it is. I'll try to post more on whats goes on in our life.

Swimming Lessons

Deegen started swimming lessons last Monday. He is loving it and doing a great job of learning how to swim. The only thing that sucks about the class it's 30 mins long Mon-Thurs. So when I get home from work it's off to swim lessons. Then by the time I get home and make dinner it's almost 8pm and Trevor and the kids are starving. Sorry!! Only one more week of it.

Caming up AF

Two weekends ago, we went AF canyon to go camping. It was nice to get away for the weekend. We went to a spot that Trevor use to go to when he was a kid. It was still kind of cold which was hard with Cassidy. On Saturday morning we went for a drive and ended up at Cascade Springs. It was ok. Not as pretty as I remember it but Deeg had fun running around trying to find fish in the ponds.

This is where we camped. We went on tons of hikes mainly up the side of this mountain. It was really steep. Some random pictures of American Fork Canyon.

Some random pictures of us just having fun.

Cassidy in the trailer on Sunday. It was really windy that day so were stuck in the trailer all day long. Trevor went to work Sunday morning so it was just me and the 2 whiny kids.

Turkey Hunt

Trevor, Jone and I all had a southern region Turkey permit. So the last weekend in May we went down to the boulders to try and get at least one turkey. We left Thursday and drove forever it seemed like but we finally made it there. Once we got there we found a nice camp site and set up the trailer and got ready to start looking for all these turkeys. Around 4 pm we set out and ended up by poise lake. It was a pretty drive but no turkeys not even a track.

On the way back it started to SNOW and I mean snow. Going back to camp it was a white out and the roads had tons of snow on them. It was kind of scary. Friday morning, we woke up to a couple of inches on the ground, so we didn't even go out for the early morning hunt. That afternoon, the snow was some what melted so Trevor and I went to see if we could see anything. In a meadow that we found, we didn't see any turkeys but we did see some huts that were kind of cool. It looked like people use them probably boy scouts or something like that.

After 3 days of hunting and only seeing 1 hen and 1 tom that ran across the road, we decided to go fishing on the 4th day. We had a blast. Caught lots of fish and Cassidy even caught her own fish. I was holding her and we caught a fish!! I couldn't believe it. Her first fish at 7 months.

Horse riding

Trevor FINALLY took me for a horse ride on his parents' horses. Trevor, Jon and I went up A.F. canyon and went on the trail that went up to Silver Lake. This was on May 16 and there was still snow everywhere!! But we still had a good time. I rode Gunner and he was every nice to me. Trevor kind of had me scared because he told me all these stories about him and how he doesn't like certain people. But he seemed to be ok with me this time.
