Kangaroo Zoo

Last Monday I was off so my sister and I decided to take the kids to Kangaroo Zoo. It was so crazy busy there. We should have known because all the kids were out of school for the holiday. But oh well, we still ventured in and had a fun time. Deegen loves that place, it was his second time being there and Cass, well at first she wouldn't let go of me. She had the death grip but after about 15 mins she figured out that it was a place to run around and be crazy (which she loves). Deegen loved playing with his cousins and wouldn't leave their site.

Tanner (he's 8) helped me with Cass. Deegen wanted Cassidy to go on the same toys that he went on and she wanted to go too so Tanner would help out and make sure that she was ok. Thanks Tanner!!!

Happy New Year!!!

It seems so weird to write 2009 now. I can't believe it. Another year has come on gone. Hopefully this year will be better than the last.

On the 1st, we went up to the Varney's for lunch and playing in the snow. They have a field in their back yard, they got out the 4 wheelers and sleds and pulled everyone around. It was so much fun pulling the kids around on the sleds and getting pulled around myself. Everyone was there, even Chance. I am so grateful to have married into a family like them. They treat me as if I was one of their own. They are always getting together and enjoying each other company. Thanks!!!

Snowman

Last weekend, Trevor, Deegen and I finally built a snowman. It was tons of fun. I haven't built one since I was a kid. Deegen got a kick out of it. He loved it and after we were done he wanted to build a snow dog, but that didn't happen. Cassidy woke up. Here is a wonderful picture of our snowman.

Trevor was so proud of this picture. Not because of me and Deeg but because of Gus! Look how good he looks!!

Lexa's 3rd birthday

Lexa's birthday is 2 days after Christmas. What fun. So on Sunday me and kids went to her birthday party (Trevor at work again). It was fun and she is such a cute girl. I can't believe she is 3 now. Here's a few pictures from the party. Thanks Kiley for having it. It was tons of fun!!!

Christmas 2008

I can't believe that Christmas and come and gone and it doesn't even seem we had enough time to enjoy it. With all the running around and getting ready for the holiday. I love Christmas with all the parties going on. It seemed like this year we had something going on every Saturday in the month of Dec. But I loved every moment of it. Sometimes I think people get the wrong impression about me but I love hanging out with family. Just on my side we don't have a big family so when we have a family party, only about 15 people are there.
So I guess I'll start with the first party that we had.

Grandma Glenda's Party: It was so much fun. This is the first one I have attended since I've been in the family. At first, I was a little hesitant about going, so many people going to be there and I'm a little shy when I get around big groups. But we had fun and the kids loved it. Grandma Glenda is always so loving and thoughtful. Deegen and Cassidy love their presents from her. Thank you and Trevor and I love ours!!! I found out by an email that we had to perform at this party and I was like no way am I doing that. I'm not doing it. But thankfully Torie came up with something and only the kids were involved.

Then the next Saturday, we had the Varney Christmas party. That one we go over to Jon and Jone's house and have pizza and other goodies. We ate, talked and played bingo!!! I guess that is something grandpa Merrill always does. It's not bad and Deegen loves it. He loves playing games, specially if money is involved. I didn't take a lot of pictures that day. Sorry

Then the next party was Christmas eve. My parents have always had a big family party on Christmas eve. I look forward to this every year. I love going over there and just enjoying the time with my family. This year Trevor was unable to be there. He had to work that night. I was so sad. It was like being a single mom again. But I survived barely. My parents cook all day long for this. We have so much food so eat from the time we get there until the time we leave. I love every bit of it too!!

After we ate dinner, Santa came!!! He comes every year. Deegen loves it but I don't think Cass like him at all. I've never seen her scream like that. Okay I have, just when a guy she doesn't know is taking her away from me or Trevor. She is very stranger danger, always has been.

The night had to come to an end :( but Deeg wanted to go home so Santa could come!!

The next morning Santa did come which was surprising because Deegen is always tormenting Cassidy.

After we opened our presents, we went over to the Varney's for their annual Christmas breakfast!! Which is SO good!!!

Sorry that this is such a long post but I didn't want to miss out on anything. I can't believe Christmas is over and its a new year.

UPDATE on Trevor: He is doing good and his shoulder is feeling better each day. He is going to go to PT and work on it. Hopefully that will be enough.
