6 Month Old!!!

Cassidy is 6 months old. Where has the time gone. It doesn't seem that long ago when I had her. She is growing up into such a cute girl. Trevor took her to her 6 month check up last Friday (I had to work). She is 16lbs even and 25.5 inches long. She only gained 1.5 lbs and the doc said that they measured her wrong at her 4 month check up because it said 29 ins and now she's 25.5 ins. Don't ask me, no one is perfect. She is wearing the 6 to 9 month clothes but we mostly buy her 9 month because I hate buying clothes that will be too small in a week or 2. It has been a rough week. Cass has been really sick. She started off with a cold about 2 weeks ago and it keeps getting worse. I took her in last Monday because she could barely breathe and her cough was really bad, you could feel it in her lungs. I felt so bad for her, but the doc said that it was just a cold and that it will get better by the end of the week. On Friday when Trevor took her in for her 6 month check up and the cold was still there and she still said that she's fine. Then on Saturday when she woke up, her right eye was really red. It looks like it's been poked, so Trevor and I thought that she poked it during the night, but it keeps getting worse and more red. She doesn't sleep and will barely eat. I really don't like doctors. So I'll be taking her back in to see whats wrong again! I really don't have a lot of pictures of Cass that I haven't already posted. She has been in a bad mood and it's non stop crying at our house so I haven't taken Cass to get her 6 month pictures. But as soon as I get them I'll post them.

Turkey hunt

We went on Colby's turkey hunt. We went up Friday morning. It was a long drive with 2 kids. Cass was ok most of the time, but it was Deeg. He has a hard time sitting for a long time. The drive was about 5 hours and for a 4 year old it seems like forever. He just kept asking "Are we there yet?" or "How much longer?". He loves going camping and he thought it was pretty cool that we were going hunting too. Even though he didn't go during the actual hunt but he walked around in the afternoon and looked for turkeys. So I'm glad that Jone and Heather helped me out with that. They saw several turkeys and deer and Deegen still can't stop talking about it. This was my first turkey hunt and it was a lot different than I thought. But I loved it. I can't wait to go on mine.

Since Colby got his turkey the morning of the opener, we had time to go a couple of places in the afternoon. So we went to hunt for sheds and of course we didn't find any. I swear I'm bad luck when it comes to some things. But it was still fun to walk around the mountain side. Deegen thought it was so awesome. I wish that did find something for him.

Deegen looking around with dad and grandma. I'm so lucky to have them in our life!

Cassidy and Hanks. They are both so cute. We had to keep them out of the sun plus they get kind of heavy caring them all the time. I hope they will grow up and be great friends.

Cass is always trying to put things in her mouth. But she doesn't have any teeth yet. She has some growing up to do if she wants to catch up to Hanks.

After we got done looking for the sheds that weren't there, we went a lake near by. That was fun. The boys threw rocks into it. I guess boys will always be boys.

Grandpa trying to teach Deeg how to skip rocks.

Trevor playing around with Cass. She was smiling and of course I missed it. Oh well I tried.

Deeg after the long day of playing. Trying to not look tried but really is. Sometimes he things he is so old and doesn't need a nap but he's still just my little boy.

Cass really tired and just waiting for me to stop taking pictures so she can take her nap. It was a blast to go on this turkey hunt. I'm glad that I had the chance to go. Thanks!

First camping trip

About 3 weeks ago, we went on our first camping trip for this year. We just went out west, but it was tons of fun. The first night was really windy, so we had to spend most of the night in the trailer. It wasn't to bad, Jon let us borrow his generator so we could watch movies which Deegen loved. He thought that we fun. Cassidy did pretty good during the night. Only waking up twice, which is about normal at home. Of course Deeg was out all night and didn't even hear Cass crying in the middle of the night. The next day was tons better. In the morning we drove up on the 4 wheeler to an old eagle's nest that was on a cliff by where we were camping. Gus ran along the side of us. By the time we got back, he was so tired.

That afternoon Trevor's parents and grandpa came out and we did a little target practice and some skeet shooting. We had a blast. I always have fun doing that. I'm not that good, but I like to pretend. I'm trying to get ready for the up coming Turkey hunt. I need a lot more practice.

That night we sat around the campfire and played with the kids and watch Gus run around with Deegen. It was nice to just sit and do nothing. Not worry about anything. Your only worry is running out of firewood. We had so much fun. It was such a shame that we had to go home. Sometimes I wish that we could go for a long while. Hopefully we get to go a lot this summer.

Trevor and Cassidy. They are both so cute!

Cassidy is starting to smile for the camera. You just have to act like a fool to get her to.

Deegen always wanting to pose for the camera. It's funny cause his smile is so fake.

Easter

We tried to get a good pic but you know how it is with 4 kids. They never look at the same time.

I know that Easter was a week ago and I'm just getting around to post pictures about it. So many things to do with so little time!! Easter was a lot of fun. To start things off, we went to the Varney's for their Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Deegen had so much fun, running around and trying to find the eggs. They were only suppose to gather 20 small and 2 big eggs, but Deeg just kept finding all the small ones (Cole would find all the big ones) and would put them in his basket. So several times I would have to dump his eggs out and have him count them to me and of course we would have to hind the extras that he collected. Deegen loved every minute of it.

That night we went home and dyed our Easter eggs. Trevor was getting into it as much as Deegen was. Trevor would put an egg in and let it sit for a while and then put it in a different color. By the time he was done, the egg was an ugly brown color, but Deegen thought it was so cool and had to do it to his eggs as well. Trevor and Deegen made fun of me because I would just put mine in girl colors. But mine turned out the best!!! Of course!

Cassidy playing in her bouncer wondering what the heck we're doing.

Our lovely colorful Easter eggs!!

Easter morning seemed liked another day because Deegen still doesn't realizing that it's Easter and the Easter bunny comes to your house. We had to bring him downstairs and then that's when he realized that the Easter bunny did come. His face was so funny. We had another small Easter egg hunt in out basement and Deegen had a blast because he didn't have to put any of the eggs back. All in all it was a good Easter, but next year it will be tons better cause Cassidy will be running around.

Cassidy

Cassidy is almost 6 months old!!! I can't believe it. Today I cleaned out her closet and boxed up some of her clothes that are too small for her. It was a sad moment. Some of those outfits she only wore once or twice too. Her personality is staring to show more each day. She loves attention and staring to like the camera (thanks to Torie). She loves to roll from side to side and lay on her side but she will not complete the roll over from her front to back because she HATES being on her stomach. We will lay her on her stomach and she will roll to her back within a second. Its really quite funny. On Thursday night she slept through the whole night! It was so nice. But of course I still woke up around 3 to make sure that she was ok. I guess its a mom thing because Trevor was still sound asleep.

Cass loves to chew on her clothes.
