Hectic Week

Last week was very hectic for our family. To start the week off, Monday while I was at work I received a phone call from my mom saying that Cassidy won't stop crying, has a rash on her body and keeps pulling at her ear. So I made an appointment for that afternoon and found out that she had a really bad ear infection. Which explained a lot. Why she hasn't been sleeping and not acting like herself. I hate when I have to get her medicine. She hates it. I have to restrain her and force her to sallow it. Her scream is so sad. She looks at me like I'm the worst mom ever. Then after I give it to her she doesn't want me. I can't wait until the medicine is gone. Only 2 more days. We finally put the med in oatmeal and it's not as bad but she still screams her head off.
Then on Tuesday I was at work and I received a phone call from Torie around 8:40am. The first words out of her mouth was " I don't want you to panic but..." as soon as I hear panic of course I start to panic thinking something happened to the kids because she was watching them that day. Then she continues "Trevor fell though the ice at the river and I'm taking him to the doctors." As soon as I heard that I left work and drove straight to the doctors. Which took me an hour. That was the longest hour of my life. So many things going though my head. All said and done, Trevor dislocated his shoulder and the doctor had to pull it back into place. But Trevor is still in a lot of pain and we're still not sure what kind of internal damage happened. Hopefully nothing to major. Trevor has had two different x-rays to see what's wrong and the Dr thinks that he might have damaged his tendon but not sure. So the first week of Jan he has to go in for a MRI and that will decide if he needs surgery or not. I feel so bad for him. He can hardly do anything. It's been kind of rough at our house. But he's doing all that he can.
I just want to say that I'm so grateful that Torie was home to help him. She is truly one of Gods' angels that was watching over him that day. If it wasn't for her, I'm not sure what could have happened. Thanks Torie for everything that you did for Trevor that day!! It means the world to me.
I am also grateful for Trevor and I am truly lucky to have him in my life. He is the best husband and dad that anyone could ask for. I don't know what I would do without him. Thank you for everything you have done for me and our kids. I love you so much!!!

Swan Hunting

On Friday, Trevor, Jon, Chance and I went up to Bear River Refuge to go Swan hunting. Both Trevor and I have permits. We got up there around 1pm and there were tons of ducks flying around. So Trevor and Chance set up the all decoys. Then it was time to sit and wait. The swans usually don't fly until 4pm so we shot at ducks that flew by which was tons of fun. We only shot one duck which was a pretty green head mallard. The group next to us shot a mallard hen and it landed over by us. So Chance and I went to go find her so we put her with her boyfriend. So technically we got 2 ducks. The swans started flying but they were all too high for us to shoot at. There were tons. Its the coolest thing to see all these swans flying around and making the sound they do. Just that is worth the trip. Unfortunately we didn't get a swan but there's always next time. We still have a couple more weeks before the hunt ends. For once I'm wishing for cold weather. It's better hunting when its cold.

Deeg loves holding the ducks.
Then Gus figured out what we had so he was jumping up and down in his pen. So we had to take his picture too. He's like one of the kids.

Halloween Week

To start the Halloween week off, the Saturday before my parents always have a Halloween party were we eat, play games and then the grand kids carve their pumpkins. Tanner was sick that day so only Tyson and Ellexa came with Kiley but they still had fun.
First they roasted hot dogs for dinner then played toss the candy into the pumpkin.
I think the most fun about this is watching the kids bob for apples!!!

After the games are over with the real fun begins, carving pumpkins!!! Yea.
Deegen and Tyson's pumpkins
Cass loved playing with the pumpkins
Deegen loves Halloween. He had his costume picked out in August, which was nice cause it gave me time to make it. He wanted to be a scary ghost. This was Cassidy's second Halloween and she dressed up as Tinkerbell. She was so cute. I put some mascara on and her lashes make me sick. They are so long and cute.
We first went up to see grandma and grandpa Varney and the other cousins. Everyone was dressed up so cute. Hadlee didn't like Deegen at first. She kept saying scary. It was kind of funny.

My scary ghost

My little tink

Then to grandpa Merrill's

Then to Grandma Glenda's

Then we headed over to Torie's neighborhood and did a little trick or treating. As we did that we stopped at my parents since they live by each other and saw them.

Finally we called it a night and went home to light our pumpkins.

So glad this holiday has come and gone!!!!
