Muzzleloader hunt

This year I finally went on Trevor's deer hunt. The last 2 years I didn't go and I think Trevor liked me and the kids not going. Because during that time he didn't have any worries or crying kids or a wife nagging at him. But not this year!!! We headed down to Monroe Mountain Tuesday after work. The next morning Trevor woke up went out by himself and didn't see anything that he wanted to shot. That night me and the kids went out with him on the 4 wheeler. We didn't see a lot of bucks, but we saw tons of does and fawns which Cass loved. She would spot them and yell out " baby deer" or " baby animals" she is so obsessed with babies right now. By the next morning, Jon, Jone and Chance made it down and they all went out. They don't see any bucks that time. I think the whole trip we only saw 4 bucks and they were just 2 points, very small 2 points. But we did see a lot of Bull Elks and that made the trip. They are such a beautiful animal. For the next 4 days we played around and tried to find that big buck. On Sunday morning the day that we were leaving, Jone decided to shot one. It made a new world record of the smallest deer to be shot. Oh well, it will be good meat. We had tons of fun and it was nice to get away and hang out with Trevor and his family.

Here's the family( I love being the picture taker cause then I'm not in them)

Silver Lake

Two weeks ago we decided to go fishing, probably the last time for the year. We headed up to Silver Lake after I got off work. Trevor had his truck all packed and we were off .We stopped at Subway like we always do when we go up the canyon and then made the trip to the top. It was so pretty up there. The leaves were just starting to change color but the lake was really low. We didn't think that we would catch anything but we ended up catching 5. It was a lot of fun. I love getting out and being in the mountains.

Dad and the kids with the fish they caught. I'm not sure if Cass likes the fish

Dad helping Cass reel in her fish. She really liked that part of fishing

Deegen's 6th birthday

I can't believe that my little boy his 6 now. Well, he's been 6 for a couple of weeks and I'm just getting around posting about it. (I'm a slacker) Deegen has always wanted a birthday party so this year I did one, well kind of just the cousins on the Varneys side came to this one then the next day we celebrated Deegen's birthday with the Miners. Its hard when you have 2 families to celebrate it with. Deegen decided to have a pirate party. It was a lot of fun, we had a treasure hunt, played pin the eye patch on the pirate and we even had a pinata. OH BOY!! Deegen loved it and I think so did the other kids.

Summer has gone by too fast!!

It's been forever since I have posed anything, I don't even know where to begin. Since the last time that I posted so many things happened. I seems like every weekend we're out playing or doing something fun.

So I guess I'll start with end of April and move forward. Sorry I'm not going to write a lot but will have plenty of pictures to look at.

This turkey came into my parents garage about a week after the turkey hunt. It didn't want to leave.

Walked in on Deeg sleeping like this with his dinosaur and Cass is such a girl. Always on the phone!!!

Deegen finally learned how to ride his bike without training wheels.
